For many mobile phone users (aka, for everybody), any time spent outside the home is a struggle to find wifi connections to avoid using that precious cellular data. This is especially true for those who don't have an unlimited data plan.
But have you ever wondered exactly how often cell phone users are using wifi, versus cellular data?
Thanks to a new partnership between
FierceWireless and Strategy Analytics, we now have easy access to that data. Not surprisingly, those with unlimited data plans both use the most data in general, and the most cellular data. Among carriers, T-Mobile users use the most data, followed by Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. Note that the data only looked at December 2017.
